Winner of the 2023 Urban Permaculture Award: Greenfeel gardeners’ community in partnership with the Parents in Dialogue Association – Timișoara.
As part of the project „Cultivating a Sustainable Future through Composting and Urban Permaculture,” Greenfeel aimed to promote permaculture by maintaining soil through composting, cultivating healthy plants without chemicals, growing mushrooms on green woody material, and harvesting honey from bees. The project advocated for a natural and sustainable approach to gardening for healthy food.
Within the project, the organization continued a series of workshops and activities for both adults and children to promote permaculture principles. This included ecologically-friendly soil improvement techniques, biological pest control, composting workshops, practical sessions for producing healthy food through mushroom cultivation and beekeeping, as well as courses and guided tours for children. Additionally, an artistic creation workshop with hay was conducted. Simultaneously, the foundation for a school garden was established, along with nature education activities.
